A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
As a member of the architecture division, you will be the Project Engineer responsible for design and engineering support from design development through contract documents and construction phases. Your main responsibilities include the design and development of structural layout and preparing design calculations, specifications, and reports. You are a success at a solving problems through your strong interpersonal and communication skills. You can work independently while coordinating and collaborating with related disciplines. Due to your exceptional organizational skills, projects are always completed by their assigned deadlines and according to plans. You're a creative, self-directed and flexible team member, which makes you a great fit for this position!
Qualifications
- BS in Structural or Civil Engineering or MS in Architectural-Engineering
- EI required, PE or SE preferred
- 4-10 years of related experience preferred.
- Building related structural design experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- REVIT and/or BIM experience required
