A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INTERIOR DESIGNER
As a member of the architecture division, your primary focus is to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that enhance occupant enjoyment and wellbeing through considerate design, material application and detailing, and thoughtful furniture selection and placement, all while adhering to relevant blueprint, building code, and inspection requirements. Your experience with a wide variety architectural projects in a variety of markets will drive your success. You won’t get bored here at Schemmer!  Due to your exceptional organizational skills and ability to coordinate with other disciplines, projects are always completed by their assigned deadlines and according to plans.
ABOUT YOU!
  • You have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited college or university. 
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience working in a variety of markets and project types.
  • You have developed a level of comfort working directly with and consulting with clients.
  • Your experience in contract documents, detailed drawing, estimating & specification writing is a plus. 
  • You are proactive in coordinating and collaborating with other disciplines on the project team.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency in Revit and Enscape software.
